About Happy & Precious
Hi there everyone. My name is Happy McGuire, and my wife’s name is Precious. We’ve come to this place called the Steel Pier all the way from the great state of Utah. When my wife, Precious, heard about the marathon from one of her singing friends, she couldn’t stop talking about how badly she wanted to go. Though we’ve never left Utah, this marathon was going to make her happy. Back in Utah life has been tough for the both of us because of the depression. One of the big things I lost because of the depression was my profession; my truck yard. It was the only source of income I had for my wife Precious and I. Precious is a singer here at a local church of ours, and her voice is just wonderful. It was so wonderful that I we got married almost immediately after she sang at a local church singing contest. We’re bound to have children sometime in the near future, but nothing immediate. Here at this marathon Precious and I are looking to have a good time, and meet some wonderful people. Her dream has always been to sing on the radio; maybe she’ll meet someone that could help her with that. For me, though, I am happy to be sleeping in a real bed, and an opportunity to win $2,000. This would help us towards a happy life.
The roles of Happy and Precious McGuire will be played by Michael Hall and Elisha Rock.
