At its annual meeting on January 10, 2012,
one incumbent and three new board members were elected.

Susan Milner will continue to serve on the board for an additional term. Three other vacancies on the board were filled by Gordon Bennett, Kelly Jordan and Jessica Kimble Wood.

The Pittsford Musicals board would like to thank its membership and extend special appreciation to all who were nominated.

Stuart has been involved with PM for four years, most notably as Assistant to the director on both Fiddler on the Roof and Steel Pier. He served twice on the Show selection committee and participated in WXXI/PM pledge nights. Stuart resides in Pittsford with John Hennessey and their dog, Morgan. As the Arts Events Manager at The College at Brockport, SUNY, he is responsible for coordinating a 60 performance performing arts series. In his pre-Rochester life, for 15 years he worked for Columbia Artists Theatricals, sending Broadway shows on the road, as well as for The Walton Group, doing marketing for several Broadway shows.

Susan's first experience with Pittsford Musicals was building the set for Finian's Rainbow in 1986. Since then, she has served on the board from 1997-99, acted as Board President, participated in many committees, helped build sets, sewn costumes, hosted numerous cast parties and appeared in Pittsford Musicals productions of Guys and Dolls (Adelaide), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Helena/Janet), Dames at Sea (Mona Kent) and seven other shows. She has also performed with Shipping Dock, Blackfriars and Downstairs Cabaret theaters. Susan, a Pittsford resident for most of her life, is employed by Paychex and has two daughters, Tisah and Sasha.

Dave has been a member of Pittsford Musicals since 1982. He is a past board president and past treasurer with 18 years of service on the board. In 2008 he was awarded the Distinguished Service Awarsd. Strictly a backstage person, Dave has designed and built many sets for Pittsford over the years. For the past ten years he has also served as Set Designer and Technical Director for the Honeoye Falls–Lima drama and musical productions. Dave lives in Honeoye Falls with his wife Lisa and their children Stephanie and Kevin.

Jennifer has been a member of Pittsford Musicals since the 2004 production of Mame. She has been involved both on- and off-stage with every show since then. Jennifer brings to the Board her enthusiasm for the continued success of the organization and a great sense of humor. By day, Jennifer is a paralegal in the immigration group of a large law firm in Rochester. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University.

Gordon began his involvement with Pittsford Musicals in 2003 when he assisted with set building. He has worked on set construction for every PM production since then, and gladly joined the stage crew for our production of Dames at Sea on Geva’s Nexstage. In addition, Gordon has been in the cast of seven shows beginning in 2004, and in the pit playing his trombone for Company and Oliver! Gordon served on the PM Board of Directors from 2005-2010, including a year as President in 2008. Gordon has coordinated PM’s online ticket sales since 2009. Gordon supports his theater habit by working by day as a software engineer for First Consulting, Inc.  He lives in Honeoye Falls with his wife, Carol, and two rescued shelter dogs, and is the proud father of two grown daughters.

Cathy has been an active member of Pittsford Musicals for 12 years, being involved either onstage or backstage in every show since then except for How to Succeed in Business.  Before getting involved in PM, she did eight shows with the Webster Theatre Guild, serving on their board for six years.  She is also a member of the women’s vocal group Women of Note, and serves as their costume advisor and treasurer.  She has also served on, and chaired, the Webster Community Arts Day committee. Cathy is a former research chemist at Kodak and currently a chemistry teacher at Williamson High School.

John has been involved with Pittsford Musicals since 1980 when he became part of the cast of Brigadoon. He moved to New York City in 1986 and returned to Rochester in 2002. He has served on the Board, was President in 2006, and has directed three productions: Fiddler on the Roof, Steel Pier and Carousel. He can always be found helping with sets, set decorating, selling tickets, doing promotions and doing whatever needs to be done to keep Pittsford Musicals alive and a vital community theatre in the Rochester area.

Emily has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ohio Northern University and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law. During her time at ONU she performed in productions as well as took on roles of Assistant Stage Manager and Company Manager. For two years at ONU she worked as the Assistant to the Managing Director of the theater attached to the college. It was this experience -- grant writing, contracting and underwriting the season -- that led her to pursue her law degree. She now works as an Attorney Editor at Thomson Reuters.

Kelly first became involved with Pittsford Musicals in the year 2000 as a cast member in Will Rodgers Follies. And returned for the 2010 production of AnnieKelly has been a music teacher in the Pittsford School District for twelve years and is currently in her my fifth year as middle school chorus and general music teacher at Calkins Road Middle School. She directs six school choirs, and is vocal director for their annual 7th and 8th grade musical. Kelly feels it is a privilege to see students develop their talents and love for music, dance, and theater.

MaryLou has been involved with Pittsford Musicals for five years, having been selected for every cast since 42nd Street in 2006. In addition to her onstage work, she has worked on the Publicity and Audition committees. Her enthusiasm for theater in general has also led her to be involved with other theater groups in pre-production capacities, and to volunteer with various groups as an usher. She also takes dance lessons, and is a member of the Little Theater Group. A Health Project Coordinator at the James Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester, MaryLou lives in the Rochester area with her two dogs, Daiquiri and Brandy. Besides her theatrical activities, she also enjoys her membership in various hiking clubs in Monroe County.

Norma has been involved with Pittsford Musicals for the past five years, helping with set building, costume building, and stage crew. Currently retired, Norma taught Theater Arts at San Angelo Central High School in Texas "for a hunnert years" subsequent to earning a BA in Theater, Speech, and English with secondary teaching certification from Oregon State University. She was active in the Texas Educational Theatre Association, presenting teacher workshops and helping to develop a curriculum for theater classes that was adopted by the Texas State Board of Education, and was named Texas Educator of the Year in 1994 for the 1300-member Secondary Section. Norma resides in Henrietta and is active volunteering in her grandchildren's schools.

Jessica’s first experience with Pittsford Musicals was as a cast member in Carousel in 2009 and returned for the subsequent two productions. Jessica’s involvement has also included serving on the Publicity and Tony's Party Committees over the past two years, and assisting with children's auditions. In addition to her Pittsford Musicals involvement, Jessica has worked with Geneva Theatre Guild, Encore Theatre, Geneseo Community Players, and Rochester's Children Theatre. A former Pittsford resident, and current Canandaigua resident, Jessica teaches Kindergarten at Canandaigua Primary School where she serves on the district's Arts and Education Committee. Jessica is a graduate of Nazareth College where she studied Childhood and Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Psychology. Jessica was also active in Nazareth's theatre department. Jessica earned her masters degree in Literacy Education at SUNY Geneseo.
